Recently we announced that your Executive Committee had undergone some adjustments in roles to better reflect IODA’s strategy and responsiveness to current and future members. Following this we called for nominations for two vacant roles:
- Vice President Membership and Communication
- Vice President Conferences and Events
We had good conversations with a number of people who were considering these roles. In the end there were two people who were nominated, one for each role. The result is that the Election Committee, with the agreement of the IODA Board in our meeting last week, have concluded that we will not need to run a complete election process and can accept these two excellent nominations into the roles. These are big jobs, and we are grateful that these members have stepped up to the challenge.
We are pleased to announce the following appointments:
Vice President Membership and Communication
CLAUDIA RAFFO from Chile
Vice President Conferences and Events
R. MOHANAKRISHNAN from India
The vision is that Claudia and Mohan would gather a team around them to support, advise and engage in this exciting work of making a difference in our world. I believe these are two very important roles on the Executive Committee.
Our conferences are the flagship activity of the organization. Our strategic intent of increasing dramatically other events is vitally important for our future in this changing world, if we are to be successful in engaging the world-wide OD community.
Likewise our organization’s life blood is its members, engaged and communicating with each other and with the world, to make a difference. We are a membership organization.
Please join in thanking Claudia and Mohan for this three years of service they offer to IODA. They would love to hear from you in support of the work they will be doing. It needs to be a team effort so please put yourself forward to them if you have ideas and can help in some way.
IODA ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN MYSORE – INDIA from August 24 to 27
