IODA is an international association of professionals, academics and students engaged in work that helps organizations and communities be healthier and more effective. If you work in organization and human systems development, HR, change management, capacity development, leadership or talent development, training, strategic planning, or any area involved in promoting healthy change, then IODA is for you!
Through our membership portal, IODA members access a rich network of OD practitioners around the world, as well as networking events. We also exchange best practice thinking, job opportunities and support. IODA is also affiliated to other major OD organizations around the world.
Professional development is achieved in IODA through sharing of knowledge in the membership portal, our annual conference and newsletter. IODA also offers teaching or training in OD programs among our network of universities in Asia, Africa, and South America.
IODA offers a collection of webinars, books, podcasts, previous conference material and peer reviewed materials, all of which relate to OD. In addition, our members have access to reduced conference entrance fee of our annual conference.

Soft or hard currency fees?
- Countries with stable economies have a “hard currency” that is accepted widely throughout the world, and they are listed as such by the World Bank. Most European countries, Israel, USA, Canada, New Zealand and Australia are considered hard currency countries.
- OD professionals also work in countries with less stable economies and currencies, known as “soft currency” countries. Many countries in Africa and Asia, some countries in South America, and China and India (for purposes of IODA membership only) are considered soft currency countries.
- We offer students a special rate of US$ 75 for one year.
- Do you need clarification about your country? Have a look at a list of hard and soft currency countries here or contact us.
