We are delighted to share with our global OD community the results of the 2026 IODA Presidential Election.
Please join us in congratulating Peter Kalmar, who has accepted the nomination and, with the strong support of our members, has been elected to serve as President of IODA for the next three years.
Peter’s response to the election reflects his enthusiasm, gratitude, and deep commitment to IODA’s members, mission, and the broader international OD community:
“Thank you for the great news. I am very happy and excited to learn that I was elected to serve as President of IODA in the coming years. Hereby I would like to thank all of you for putting your trust in me. Naturally, I accept the decision of our beloved IODA community.
At the same time, I would like to congratulate my dear colleague, Claudia Raffo from Chile, for running and receiving a very significant number of votes. I would also like to thank Noble Kumawu from Ghana, our former President, for all that he has done for IODA over the past few years and beyond.
Last but not least, as a first step toward a prosperous, healthy, happy, and sustainable future, I invite all of you to join, or rejoin, IODA and become an active part of the important work that lies ahead.”
