IODA has partnered with the Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM), Tiruchirappalli (India), through a newly signed memorandum of understanding (MOU) to mentor MBA students enrolled in the OD & Change Management elective course. This pioneering program connects BIM students with IODA’s experienced, global OD practitioners.
The first session, held on October 24, introduced students to the field of OD. Larry Kokkelenberg, author of OD for the Accidental Practitioner and OD for the Intentional Practitioner, led the session with a straightforward approach and practical examples that were well-received by BIM students, sparking great interest and engagement. The students, who make up BIM’s 40th batch, participated actively, demonstrating impressive commitment and curiosity.
The next session, scheduled for November 15, will cover various OD interventions and mark the start of an ongoing mentoring program. With guidance from global OD professionals, students will gain valuable skills and insights that will enhance their professional development and career readiness.
Special thanks to Dr. Asit K. Barma and Dr. S. N. Raghavendra from BIM for initiating this collaboration, and to Noble, Carmina, and the IODA Executive Committee for their support. A heartfelt thank you also goes to the IODA members who have volunteered to share their expertise with these students.
