Global OD practitioners encounter a wide range of clients, and working across diverse cultural and organizational settings is both complex and dynamic. This session invites participants to expand their thinking about the external variables that influence change—especially when leadership comes from within a family.

During this workshop led by Dr. Mohanakrishnan Raman, we’ll explore how family and business systems interact, and why engaging with the family itself is essential when designing effective change strategies in family-owned enterprises.

Key Takeaways

  • Reflect on the use of “Self as an Instrument” in family business consulting contexts.
  • Understand how to apply OD interventions in family dynamics scenarios.
  • Recognize family businesses as a valuable opportunity for OD consulting.
  • Explore how cultural differences impact family dynamics and how to enhance family effectiveness in managing the business.
