SESSION

Co-Creating a Better World: From Human-Centric to Life-Centric OD

For decades, OD has worked to make workplaces more human-centric: more engaged, purposeful, and humane. But today’s interconnected challenges, from climate disruption to ecological strain and a workforce questioning the purpose of its labour, call for a broader perspective. This keynote explores OD’s next frontier: becoming life-centric by seeing organizations as living systems nested within larger living systems, teams within organizations, organizations within communities, and communities within the planet itself.

Drawing on 25 years of practice and the Sequoia Group’s Living OD framework, the session explores the shift from a Diagnostic to a Dialogic paradigm: from diagnosis to discovery, intervention to invitation, motivation to activation, and inspiration to aspiration. Grounded in the concept of holons, where every organizational element is both a whole in itself and part of a larger whole, participants will discover how to balance autonomy and integration while creating regenerative change.

Participants will leave with a practical vocabulary for life-centric OD, a framework for navigating individual and systemic change together, and a renewed sense of their role in shaping a more sustainable and regenerative future.
