The practice of od in the era of artificial intelligence: swim or sink?
The practice of Organization Development (OD) is continually evolving to help organizations meet the growing demands of change and innovation. Recent trends, such as the rise of artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and hybrid work environments, are reshaping how organizations operate and develop.
According to the World Economic Forum, AI and automation are expected to create 97 million jobs by 2025. This wave of digital transformation will usher in new business models and work structures, fundamentally changing many job roles. Yet, these rapid changes also instill a sense of uncertainty and fear in employees facing an unknown future driven by technology.
At the same time, behavioral science continues to play a critical role in improving organizational effectiveness. The intersection of AI, automation, and behavioral science is pushing the boundaries of traditional OD practices, presenting new challenges and opportunities for practitioners.
Join us at the IODA 2025 Organization Development World Summit (ODWS) in Accra, Ghana, as we delve into these pressing topics. Hosted by the OD Institute and the Organization Development Practitioners Association of Ghana, this landmark event will be held at the Mensvic Grand Hotel in Accra, the vibrant capital city of Ghana.
