Join us on Tuesday September 2nd for an interactive workshop on Creating Conditions to Encourage a Positive Organization: An Introduction to Systems Leadership. This one-day program will be facilitated by Roderick Barnett, Accredited Systems Leadership Practitioner and promises to be a practical and engaging day that could change the way you see organizations.

What is Systems Leadership?

Systems Leadership* is a robust and practical approach to developing leaders, culture, and organisations. It is based on over 60 years of research and observation of good practice across a wide range of organizations; public, private, and not for profit in many different countries and cultures. The purpose of systems leadership theory (SLT) is to help create the conditions in an organization where people willingly give their best. It offers a cohesive framework to help leaders and consultants design systems, clarify roles, strengthen accountability, and cultivate constructive cultures in organizational environments. It helps organisations move beyond compliance or control-based models to become places where people are respected, engaged, and able to contribute their full capability.

*More information on Systems Leadership concepts, models and tools can be found in the book Systems Leadership – Creating Positive Organisations (Second edition) Macdonald, Burke, and Stewart.

Why Attend?

Organizational change often fails because systems, structure, symbols, and leadership behaviour are sending conflicting messages. This causes confusion and may encourage behaviours and culture that are negative. Systems Leadership gives you the tools to diagnose the real issues and support leaders to create the positive conditions for people to succeed and work together more effectively.

What Will You Gain?

By participating in this interactive workshop, you will:

  • Learn the foundational models of Systems Leadership
  • Understand how to use systems, symbols, and behaviours to shift culture
  • Explore how to clarify roles, tasks, and accountabilities using proven models
  • Appreciate the work of managerial-leadership
  • Make the links between work, capability, complexity, and role relationships
  • Reflect on your own leadership practices or consulting approach
  • Engage with peers from Ghana and around the world facing similar challenges

Whether you’re working inside organizations or supporting them as an external consultant, this workshop will introduce you to tools to make a lasting difference.

Who Should Attend?

This workshop is ideal for:

  • Senior organizational leaders from the public and private sector
  • OD practitioners
  • HR and People & Culture professionals
  • Change managers
