SUMMARY:Workshop | When Good Interventions Meet Adaptive Walls: A Five-Dimensional Metatheoretical Audit of OD Practice Across Global Contexts
DESCRIPTION:Many Organization Development interventions are technically sound\, yet struggle to create lasting adaptive change. Why do approaches that work in one context fail in another? \n\n\n\nIn this interactive workshop\, Dr. Mohammed Raei (Mo) introduces the Five-Dimensional (5D) Metatheory\, a practical diagnostic framework that helps practitioners uncover the hidden assumptions shaping their interventions. Through discussion\, reflection and collaborative exercises\, participants will explore how context\, culture and foundational beliefs influence the success of change efforts\, and learn how to design interventions that are better aligned with the systems they seek to transform. \n\n\n\nIn this workshop you will:\n\n\n\n\nExplore why technically sound interventions often fail to address adaptive challenges.\n\n\n\nLearn the Five-Dimensional (5D) Metatheory as a practical diagnostic tool.\n\n\n\nApply the framework to analyse real OD challenges.\n\n\n\nExamine how culture\, values and assumptions influence intervention design.\n\n\n\nReflect on what truly context-sensitive OD practice looks like.\n\n\n\nLeave with practical ideas for designing interventions that better fit their context.\n\n\n\n\nWho should attend?\n\n\n\nThis workshop is designed for Organization Development practitioners\, consultants\, academics\, practitioner-scholars and students working across national and cultural contexts. No prior knowledge of the Five-Dimensional Metatheory is required. \n\n\n\nAbout the facilitator\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDr. Mohammed Raei (Mo) is an independent scholar specialising in metatheory\, transdisciplinary methodology and innovation studies. He is the creator of the Five-Dimensional Metatheory\, a framework for examining the foundational assumptions underpinning theories\, institutions and interventions\, as well as the TD 3.x transdisciplinary methodology and the M3 Innovation Topology. \n\n\n\nMo holds a doctorate in Leadership and Change\, specialising in adaptive leadership in the Heifetz tradition. He has co-edited three Routledge books\, serves as Guest Editor for the Journal of Management\, Spirituality & Religion\, hosts the Epistemic Alchemy Podcast\, and delivers doctoral coaching internationally. Based in Amman\, Jordan\, he brings a distinctive cross-cultural perspective to Organization Development and metatheoretical practice. \n\n\n\nEvent Details\n\n\n\n\nDate: Saturday 3 October\n\n\n\nTime: 07:00 New York | 08:00 Santiago | 12:00 London | 13:00 Madrid | 16:30 New Delhi | 19:00 Singapore | 21:00 Sydney.
