IODA Webinar | Embracing Resistance to Change: Exploring the Change Resistance Paradox Model

April 27, 2022 @ 10:00 11:30

What if leaders and change agents guided change with compassion and courage, a sense of justice, authenticity and responsibility, leading to expansive results for the organization and organization members?

During this webinar facilitated by Jim Maddox, participants will explore the utility and practical applications of a new OD tool – the Change Resistance Paradox Model.  The model is the cornerstone of a recently released book, Embracing Resistance to Change:  Facilitating Change Differently Through the Paradox of Resistance about which Diana Whitney, Ph.D., author of The Power of Appreciative Inquiry and Appreciative Leadership, said: “a call for emotionally intelligent leadership… a practical book of models and techniques to enrich your change management tool box!”

Working seamlessly with other time-tested models such as Kotter, Lewin and Weisbord, this flexible model, The Change Resistance Paradox Model, brings a laser focus to the knots of resistance wherever they are found, and shows how to leverage positive resistance and proactively avoids or jettisons unhealthy resistance.

Participants will collaborate to explore how the model might aid in their own OD and change facilitation efforts.

This webinar will be free for IODA members to attend and $25 for non-members.
