New president is Suzanne Zaldivar, USA

We are pleased to announce that the new president of IODA will be Suzanne Zaldivar.
We congratulate her on this honor and express our support for her during the transition phase and throughout her term of office.

Thanks go to our candidates Noble Kumawu from Ghana and Adriana De La Fuente, Mexico for their ongoing service and support for IODA and their gracious support for the incoming president.

We look forward to publicly welcoming Suzanne to the role at our conference in India. In the meantime Peter Kalmar will continue as President, working in close partnership with Suzanne as President elect. This allows for a useful time of hand-over for both of them and helps the smooth running of IODA and the Executive Committee.

We would love to receive feedback from you about the elections process, so that we can continue to improve our service to members in future years. Please email one of the election committee members with your comments.

MORE NEWS ABOUT ELECTIONS
The Executive Committee has undergone some adjustments in roles to better reflect our strategy and responsiveness to current and future members. This will enhance the ability to fulfill the IODA purpose. There will be some new elected roles and also a number of important appointed / invited roles including ambassadors and regional liaisons.

In June 2016 IODA will be holding an election for two new roles:
· Vice President Membership and Communication
· Vice President Conferences and Affiliations

You will be receiving further details about these roles, how to nominate someone or stand for a role, and the election process.
The intention is to have these roles filled before the India conference in August.
